Electrical Designer

Based in Italy, we are searching for a talented Electrical Designer who share our values, with innovative capacity for working with us by integrating in a diverse team that work together.

Answering the electrical design manager, the candidate will be responsible for developing the project of the electrical equipment of a refrigeration machine in all its components from the initial technical specifications of the customer, until the production line is tested. It will ensure that the schematic diagram, its devices and the calculations for their dimensioning comply with the main reference standards to ensure the safety and functionality requirements of refrigeration machines. In collaboration with other offices such as Quotations, R&D, 3D Modeling, Testing and Service will work to ensure that the electrical project respects the delivery time of the machine and the costs agreed with the customer.

  • Diploma of electrical/ electronic expert;
  • At least three years of experience in a similar industry;
  • Knowledge of software for the realization of electrical diagrams; knowledge of Eplan is a plus;
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office package;
  • Basic knowledge of RS-485 transmission networks and the Modbus communication protocol;
  • Basic knowledge of the programming languages related to IEC 61131-3.
  • Collaboration with the Quotation Office to provide a rough estimate of the cost of the electrical panel or a series of components suitable for satisfying a certain machine functionality;
  • Collaboration with the R&D department for the realization of the P&I of the thermodynamic circuit and the logic of operation of the machine including temperature management, pressure, operating cycles and start/stop sequences;
  • Implementation of the electrical equipment diagram using the software Eplan Pro Panel and Eplan Cogineer;
  • Interaction with customers for the approval of electrical schematics and any special features that the machine performs to meet plant requirements;
  • Selection and dimensioning of protection devices and components of power and control circuits according to IEC 60204-1, IEC 61439-1 and 2 and IEC EN 60947;
  • Selection of electrical and electronic components within the switchboard such as PLC, relays, timers, etc. and choice of the electrical and electronic components present in the machine board such as inverters, actuators, sensors, etc.
  • Parameterization of the inverters, controllers and/or PLCs that operate the machine;
  • Verification of the arrangement of components within the electrical panel and calculation of its overtemperature in order to choose the exact air flow rate that guarantees thermal balance in accordance with IEC EN 61439-1;
  • Collaboration with suppliers for the production of the electrical panel to ensure that the design scheme defined and approved is respected;
  • Collaboration with the Testing department to verify that the electrical panel is correctly executed by the supplier;
  • Performance of functional and safety tests on switchboards and automation systems to ensure proper operation, even under varying load and operating conditions;
  • Collaboration with service team;
